Occupation matches are indications of how well a user's skills match a specific occupation. An occupation match compares the information that a user has entered about his or her skills with those required to perform well at a particular occupation.
Accessing a User's Occupation Matches
As an administrator, you can access a user's Occupation Matches by clicking on the user's name and selecting the "Occupation Matches" Tab in the Navigation Bar:
Understanding an Occupation Match
An Occupation Match consists of 4 columns (indicators) you must to know to understand how a user's skillset.
- Occupation title - The name given to an occupational role.
- Overall Skill Indicator - An overall indication of how the user's skill set matches to all of the skills associated with the occupation in question.
- Essential Skill Indicator - An indicator of how many of the "Essential" skills required for the occupation a user has. Essential skills are deemed to be skills which are critical to the role regardless of context.
- Optional Skill Indicator - An indicator of how many of the "Optional" skills required for the occupation a user has. Optional skills are considered skills that may be required in certain contexts (such as specific countries) but not in others.
Checking the Description of an Occupation
Sometimes an Occupation title will not make immediately clear what that occupation is, or the occupation is so specific that a description is necessary to understand the role it describes. In order to see the description of an occupation, simply click the drop-down arrow on the far right of the occupation row:
