Adding Career Interests

When you already know what occupation you want to have or a career field where you would like to work, you can enter it into your careers page. This way, you can access them easily to learn more about the career field and occupation. You can also discover how many skills you already have for your dream career fields and occupations and what skills you might need for them. You can choose as many occupations as you want. You can also choose occupations outside your current career fields.

There are several ways to add your career interest.

1. Using Explore Careers Search Bar

This is the fastest way to add career interests when you already know the occupation you want.

1. Click on the Explore Careers search bar and type the career name.

2. Find the occupation in the selection that appears. Then, click on the heart () icon to save it as career interest.

3. Now you will be able to see that you have saved career interests under Your career interests section.

2. From the Recommended Career Section

Just below the career interest section, you will see some occupations suggested by SkillLab together with how many skills you have that are needed for the career.

Swipe left to see all suggested careers and tap the at the top right corner of the box to save the occupation to your career interest.

3. From Discover Career Fields

Finally, you can also add career interests while discovering different career fields. These steps describe how you do it:

1. Go to the Discover Career Fields section. Here you have two option to view a career field. First, you can use shuffle button to explore the available career fields. Click on a career field to see all the careers belong to the field.

2. Alternatively, you can also scroll down to All career field section and find the career field you are interested in. Click on the career field that interests you to see all the careers belong to the field.

3. Once you are in the career field's page, you can save the entire career field as your interest by clicking on the icon on the top right corner of the page.

4. You can also explore all careers within the specific career field. Scroll down to Browse careers in this field section and click on the icon of the specific career that interests you.

5. You can also expand the career list by clicking on View more and set more careers as your interest.

Congratulations, you have successfully added career interests to your careers page. You can view all the fields and occupations you have added in the Your Career Interests section.
