What is a Career Field Page?

After adding some career fields and occupations to your career interests, you might want to explore and understand more about the career field of your choice. A career field is an area where several occupations with certain similarities belong, for instance, teaching and education, agriculture, and human resources.

A career field page allows you to see a list of occupations belonging to the career field and the needed skills to work in the career field. Suppose you are interested in the field of education. In that case, you can see all educational occupations and the skills needed to work in this field on the teaching and education career field page.

Accessing a Career Field Page

When you have added a career field to your career interest, you can access them in your career interests section by clicking on the box.

You can also access other career fields that you have not added to your career interests from the Discover Career Fields section. Scroll down to the section and use shuffle button to explore the available career fields. Click on a career field to see all the careers belong to the field.

Alternatively, you can also scroll down to All career field section and click on the a specific career field you are interested in to read more about it.

Different Sections on a Career Field Page

1. Career Field Name, Occupations, and Skills

On the top of your career field page, you will find the career field name, the number of occupations  that belongs to this career field, and the skills you have that are relevant to the career field.

2. Link to Skill Assessment

Just under the basic information about the career field, you will find a section where you can go to the skill assessment and add more experience or skills. Maybe you are reminded of an experience or skills related to this career field? You can add it directly from this section.

3. Your Career Interests

If you have saved an occupation that belongs to this career field, it will be visible under Your Career Interests section in the career field page.

4. Other Careers in this Field

Under the career interest, you will be able to explore all other careers that belong to this career field. You can click View more to expand the list. You can also save the career as your career interest from this section.

5. Skills

Finally, at the bottom of the career page, you will find the section with a list of skills that are that are relevant to the career field but you have not added to your skill profile.
