Sometimes when browsing career fields and occupations, you may notice that some of the needed skills for that career are actually skills you already have. You can add those skills to your profile from the career field and occupation pages.
Adding Skills from a Career Field Page
The process of adding skills from a career field page is not so different from the process of adding skills from the skill profile. Follow these steps to add skills from a career field page:
1. Go to the Skills section at the bottom of a career field page.
2. Click on the icon next to the skills you want to add and indicate how often you use the skills.
3. Click Add skills, then choose the experience where you use or learn the skills or create a new experience if you learn it from another experience.
Next, click Add to profile.
4. When all the shown skills are irrelevant, click None of the above and SkillLab will present a new skills recommendation for you.
Adding Skills from a Career Card
In principle, the process of adding skills from a career card is similar to the process of adding skills from the skill profile. Follow these steps to add skills from a career card:
1. Click the Skills tab on a career card, then scroll down to the Add more skills section.
2. Click on the icon next to the skills you want to add and indicate how often you use the skills.
3. Click Add skills, then choose the experience where you use or learn the skills or create a new experience if you learn it from another experience.
Next, click Add to profile.
